Aloo Frankie is one of the popular street food in North India where aloo tikki is wrapped in a roti along with other spices. These are called by different names like rolls, Frankie, or wraps.

Ingredients
- Wheat flour 1 cup
- Salt as required
- Oil 1 tsp
- Water as required
- Onions 1 small sliced
- Green chutney as required
- Tomato sauce as required
- Chaat masala to sprinkle
- Amchur powder to sprinkle
Aloo Tikki
- Aloo/Potato 500 grams or 5
- Oil 1 tbsp
- [Ginger garlic paste ½ tbsp
- Turmeric powder ¼ tsp
- Red chilli powder 2 tsp
- Coriander powder 1 tsp
- Garam masala ½ tsp
- Cumin powder ½ tsp
- Black salt ½ tsp
- Amchur powder 1 tsp
- Salt as required
Chilli vinegar
- Green chilli 1
- Vineger 2 tbsp
Instructions
- Take wheat flour in a bowl and add salt
- Then add water little by little and knead to form the dough.
- Add oil now and knead for minutes till the dough is soft, smooth, and pliable.
- Take finely chopped chilli.
- Add vinegar to it and mix. Chilli vinegar is ready.
- Boil potatoes in the cooker for 2-3 whistles.
- Peel the skin of the potatoes.
- Mash the potatoes.
- Heat oil and add ginger garlic paste to it and saute for a minute.
- Then add mashed potatoes to it.
- Next add turmeric powder, chilli powder, coriander powder, garam masala, cumin powder, black salt, salt, and amchur powder.
- Mix everything and saute for 4-5 minutes till the raw smell of masala goes.
- Add finely chopped coriander leaves, mix and switch off the flame.
- Once it cools down, shape them as logs, round or square.
- Add a few drops of oil and shallow fry the aloo tikki.
- Flip and cook till it is golden.
- Roll the dough like chapati in medium thickness.
- Heat Kadai and cook the rolled chapati.
- Cook them on both sides.
- Add green chutney to the roti.
- Place the aloo tikki on it.
- Add finely chopped onions on top of it and sprinkle some salt and spices.
- Then add chilli vinegar to it.
- Next, add tomato sauce on the top
- First, fold one side and then fold the parallel side to lock it and roll the rest. Wrap in foil or parchment paper.
- Street style aloo frankie is ready.
