Bread Masala | Simple Bread Masala recipe with step by step pictures. Bread Masala is simple and easy bread recipe where bread is cooked in onion tomato mixture. This is simple and spicy bread masala which can be prepared for breakfast or dinner. I always try different bread recipes with leftover bread. So tried this simple bread masala and everyone in home liked it. It is basically spicy version of bread upma.

Bread Masala | Crispy Bread Masala
Ingredients
- Bread 4 slices
- Onion 1
- Tomato 1
- Green chillies 1
- Ginger garlic paste 1 tsp
- Red chilli powder ½ tsp
- Coriander powder ½ tsp
- Turmeric powder ¼ TSP
- Garam masala ½ TSP
- Cumin powder ⅛ tsp
- Salt ½ tsp
- Water as required
- Coriander leaves to garnish
To Temper
- Mustard ¼ tsp
- Urad dal ¼ tsp
- Curry leaves few
- Oil 2 tsp
Instructions
- Toast the bread and cut them into small slices. This step is optional. We can directly use the bread without toasting too.
- Finely chop the onions, tomatoes and green chillies and keep it ready
- Heat oil and temper with mustard, urad dal and curry leaves.
- Then add the finely chopped onions and green chillies and saute for 1 minute
- Now add the ginger garlic paste and saute.
- Then add tomatoes and saute for few mins.
- Then add all the spice powders, salt and mix
- Add little water and allow it to boil till all the masalas are combined and raw smell goes.
- Now add the roasted bread pieces and saute for 1-2 mins.
- Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot.
Notes
How to make Bread Masala with step by step pictures
Toast the bread and cut them into small slices. This step is optional. We can directly use the bread without toasting too.
Finely chop the onions, tomatoes and green chillies and keep it ready
Heat oil and temper with mustard, urad dal and curry leaves. I didn't use curry leaves.
