Chaat Masala Recipe | How to make Chaat Masala | Homemade Chaat Masala Recipe with step-by-step pictures and instructions. It is the aromatic, flavorful, spicy, and tangy spice powder used mostly in chaats and other street food recipes. It can be added to salads, raita, buttermilk, or any curries. Sprinkle little chaat masala on any subzi and it makes it more flavorful.
It takes less than 10 minutes to prepare this masala at home. The unique taste of chaat masala comes from amchur powder and black salt so don't skip them. There are different recipes that use different quantities of coriander and cumin seeds. I adapted this recipe from chef Pankaj Bhadouria.

Ingredients
- Cumin seeds ¼ cup
- Coriander seeds 1 tbsp
- Ajwain/Carom seeds ½ tsp
- Black pepper 1 tbsp
- Hing ¼ tsp
- Amchur/Dry mango powder 2-3 tbsp
- Black salt 2 tsp
- Salt 1 tsp
Instructions
- Dry roast cumin seeds till aromatic
- Then roast coriander seeds, pepper and ajwain till fragrant.
- Allow it to cool down.
- Take salt, hing, amchur powder, and black salt in a mixer.
- Add roasted ingredients to it.
- Grind to fine powder.
- Flavorful and aromatic chaat masala is ready.
- Store in airtight container and use it in your chaat, curries, raita etc.

How to make Chaat Masala with step by step pictures
