Chapati Noodles | Leftover dishes | Kids lunch box recipe with step by step pictures and instructions. Learn how to make easy and quick chapati noodles. Chapati noodles is simple lunch box, snacks or dinner recipe. When you have chapati ready you can prepare the noodles in 15 minutes. It is one of the great dish to use your leftover chapati. I prepare in the same way as I used to prepare noodles. You can skip the sauces and add sambar powder or garam masala to add more Indian flavor.
I prepare it for my daughter lunch box whenever I have some leftover chapati dough. I am participating in Blogging Marathon for the first time and this week theme which I choose is kids lunch box recipe. Bhavana of code2cook is hosting Kids Delight event for this month. Ingredients
- Chapati 3
- Onion 1 small finely chopped
- Carrot ⅛ cup
- Capsicum ¼ cup
- Cabbage ½ cup
- Soya sauce 1 tsp
- Tomato sauce 2 tsp
- Red chilli powder ¼ tsp
- Pepper powder ½ tsp
- Oil 1 tbsp
- Garlic 2 cloves
- Spring onions to garnish
Instructions
- Take the chapati and cut them into half
- Stack them together and cut as thin strips like noodles
- Repeat the same for all chapati and keep it ready.
- Finely chop the onions, cabbage, carrot and capsicum
- Heat oil and add the finely chopped garlic.
- Once it browns add the finely chopped onions and saute for few minutes.
- Then add all the vegetables and give a quick stir
- Add salt, red chilli powder and pepper powder.
- saute nicely for 3-4 minutes till vegetables are cooked and add the sauces
- Mix nicely and check the seasoning and add more pepper or salt if required
- Then add the cut noodles.
- Give a quick stir till everything is combined and garnish with spring onions
- Serve Chapati noodles with tomato sauce or any gravy.
