Checkerboard cookies recipe | Choco Vanilla Cookies recipe with step by step pictures and instructions. Checkerboard cookies is combination of chocolate and vanilla flavors in forms of checker board. These are simple butter cookies where part of the dough is flavored with cocoa powder. These cute little checks will attract the kids and ideal for parties. I made this for my daughter second birthday party and everyone enjoyed it. Look what else I made for the party.

Rolling them and placing alternatively to get checkerboard pattern is little time consuming but it surely comes better by practice. We need to roll the dough and place layers of vanilla and chocolate alternatively to get squares. I used scale and measured them while cutting to get equal squares. I made three batches of these cookies. You can form 9 or 12  check pattern as you prefer. I made 12 check pattern first later thought nine checks looked good and made rest of the cookies in that pattern. If you are looking for baking cookies without oven, check my ghee cookies recipe.
