Chinese sesame paste is a simple condiment used as dips, fillings, salad dressing, or as a seasoning for noodles. It is made from toasted white sesame seeds. Usually, they use unhulled seeds for making sesame paste so it is dark in color.

This is quite similar to tahini which is a middle eastern condiment where they use hulled sesame seeds. It is quite easy and simple to make this at home and it keeps well for more than a month in the refrigerator and you can use them as required for the recipe. The consistency of the sauce can be adjusted according to your preference. I made flavorful Sesame Noodles using the sesame paste. Stay tuned for more recipes using the condiment.
