Chinese Sesame Paste Recipe | How to make Chinese Sesame Paste recipe with step-by-step pictures and instructions. Chinese sesame paste is a simple condiment used as dips, fillings, salad dressing, or as a seasoning for noodles. It is made from toasted white sesame seeds. Usually, they use unhulled seeds for making sesame paste so it is dark in color.
This is quite similar to tahini which is a middle eastern condiment where they use hulled sesame seeds. It is quite easy and simple to make this at home and it keeps well for more than a month in the refrigerator and you can use them as required for the recipe. Chinese Sesame Paste Recipe | How to make Chinese Sesame Paste
Ingredients
- White Sesame seeds ½ cup
- Sesame oil 2-3 tbsp
- Salt a pinch
Instructions
- Dry roast sesame seeds in a pan.
- Roast them till it turns slightly golden.
- Remove to the plate and allow it to cool down.
- Take the roasted sesame seeds in a mixer.
- Pulse them 2-3 times and add a pinch of salt and oil to it.
- Grind to smooth paste.
- Chinese sesame paste is ready.

How to make Chinese Sesame Paste with step by step pictures
