Christmas Tree Pull-Apart Bread Recipe | Paneer Cheese Stuffed Christmas Bread recipe with step-by-step pictures and instructions. Christmas tree pull-apart bread is a simple bread in the shape of a Christmas tree stuffed with paneer and cheese. It is the perfect holiday treat or you can make it for evening snacks or dinner.
We love savory bread more than sweet ones. I used my basic bread recipe and made a few changes. I made this Christmas Tree Bread for the Akshayakalpa contest and I am really in love with their products. As with most of my bread, I used wheat flour and honey to activate the yeast. Christmas Tree Pull Apart Bread Recipe | Paneer Cheese Stuffed Christmas Bread in Air Fryer
Ingredients
- Wheat flour 2 cups
- Honey 2 tsp
- Dry Yeast 2 tsp
- Salt ½ tsp
- Milk/Water 1 cup - 2tbsp
- Butter 4 tbsp
Stuffing
- Paneer 100 grams
- Salt as required
- Turmeric powder ¼ tsp
- Red chilli powder ¾ tsp
- Coriander Powder ½ tsp
- Cumin Powder ¼ tsp
- Pepper powder ½ tsp
- Garam masala ½ tsp
- Coriander leaves 2 tbsp finely chopped
- Cheese ½ cup
Instructions
Making dough
- Take milk in a bowl and warm in a microwave for 15 seconds.
- Add honey and yeast to warm water.
- Mix it nicely and keep it aside for 15 minutes
- After 15 minutes yeast mixture should be frothy.
- Take flour and salt in a bowl and mix them nicely
- Add the frothy yeast mixture and knead to a dough.
- Now add butter and knead for 10-12 minutes till it is smooth and soft.
- Cover and allow it to rise till it doubles in size.
Making stuffing
- Grate the paneer in the bowl.
- Add salt and all other masalas to it
- Mix it nicely till combined and add finely chopped coriander leaves to it.
- Paneer stuffing is ready.
- Grate the cheese and keep it ready.
Shaping and Baking
- After the dough doubles, punch the dough and knead for 2-3 minutes.
- Roll the dough and cut in the shape of a triangle.
- Similarly, make another triangle shape dough.
- Place the paneer stuffing on the dough.
- Spread layer of grated cheese to it.
- Cover the dough on top of the stuffing.
- Cut thin strips on both sides with a knife or pizza cutter.
- Swirl the strips on both sides so it looks like a tree.
- Grease the baking tray with oil or butter and place the Christmas tree on it.
- Brush the top layer with milk
- Allow it to rest for 15 minutes
- Preheat the air fryer at 180C for 3 minutes
- Place the baking tray and bake at the same temperature for 20-25 minutes
- Remove from the air fryer and brush it with butter.
- Paneer cheese stuffed Christmas tree bread is ready.
