Coin Potato Fry Recipe | Tawa potato fry | Air fried potatoes recipe with step-by-step pictures and instructions. Coin potato fry is a crispy and delicious side dish made with potatoes. Potatoes are sliced as coins, marinated with spices, and then shallow fried. It tastes so good with a variety rice, rasam rice, or curd rice. Kids will enjoy them as snacks too.

Coin Potato Fry Recipe | Tawa potato fry | Air fried potatoes
Ingredients
- Potato 400 grams or 4 big
- Salt ¾ tsp
- Red chilli powder 1 tbsp
- Coriander powder 1 tsp
- Turmeric powder ½ tsp
- Garam masala ¼ tsp optional
- Ginger garlic paste 1 tsp
- Rice flour 2 tsp
- Oil 2-3 tbsp
Instructions
- Peel the skin of the potatoes and wash them
- Slice them as round with medium thickness.
- Soak them in water for 10 minutes to remove starch and drain them.
- In the bowl, take salt, red chili powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, garam masala, ginger garlic paste, and rice flour.
- Add little water to the mixture.
- Mix it to a thick paste.
- Add sliced potatoes to it.
- Mix everything together till potato coins are nicely coated.
- Heat Tawa or pan, add oil and place the potato slices and cook till it is golden.
- Flip the pieces halfway through and fry till golden on both sides. Drizzle more oil if required.
- For frying in air fryer, preheat the air fryer at 190°C for 3 minutes.
- Place the potatoes in the air fryer basket and air fry for 8-10 minutes till it is cooked and golden. Brush oil on the potatoes after 4-5 minutes.
- Coin potato fry is ready.
