Coriander Leaves Thokku Recipe | Kothamalli Thokku recipe with step by step pictures and instructions. It is multi purpose condiment which can be used as side dish for Idli, dosa, chapati or rice. It can also be used as spread for your breads. When you get fresh coriander leaves prepare and keep it handy. It keeps well upto 1 month in fridge.
I love these kind of thokku varieties. It is perfect travel friendly as well as bachelor recipe. It helps to pack quick lunch box recipe too. Just mix it with hot rice and eat it. When I saw this recipe in shaanthram aunty feed in instagram, I immediately tried it and it was super hit. This is my third recipe in A to Z Chutney series where C for Coriander leaves thokku. How to make Kothamalli thokku with step by step pictures
Wash, clean and chop the coriander leaves
Heat 1 tsp oil and add the cleaned coriander leaves
Saute them for 1 minutes till it slightly shrinks
Remove them and add the green chillies. Add more oil if required
Fry and remove them.
In the same oil add mustard, urad dal and red chilli.
Once it browns add everything together in blender.
Grind to smooth paste.
Heat 1 tbsp oil and temper with mustard seeds.
Add the coriander paste and saute nicely
Saute them nicely till it comes together and oil releases.
Yummy coriander thokku is ready. Serve it with hot rice/Idli/Dosa
