I used only the different dals and completely skipped rice in this recipe. Just soak the dals for 2 hours, grind to a smooth batter and make the dosa. Serve it with chutney, sambar, or podi. I am planning to post three recipes with dazzling dals as part of Blogging Marathon for this week. So keep tuned for other interesting recipes.

Notes

I always grind the batter in evening and make for dinner.

Adjust the proportion of the dals or feel free to skip any dal if it is not available.

Batter can be kept in fridge for 2-3 days.

You can add some red chili while grinding the batter to make it spicy.

Also can add some onions and tempering and make dosa too.

  • The Dal Dosa seems to be a power house of protein! Sounds really nutritious, should give it a try.
  • This is super nutritious and no rice at all. This looks very perfect with chutney and I would love to try this dosa.
  • What a great protein filled breakfast idea this is! I add a little bit of rice or quinoa but thanks to your recipe, I now know that I can make it without it.
