Everyone loves egg in home so I frequently try different things with egg. One day instead of making usual Egg thokku, made this omelette thokku and now this has become routine. According to the consistency of the gravy you prefer, you can add more onions and tomatoes or make it dry. Look at the my simple sunday lunch menu with omelette masala. Ingredients
For Masala
- Onion 1
- Tomato 1
- Green chilli 2
- Ginger garlic paste 1 tsp
- Red chilli powder 1 tsp
- Garam masala ½ tsp
- Cumin powder ¼ tsp
- Turmeric powder ¼ tsp
- Coriander leaves 1 tbsp to garnish
- Oil 2 tsp
- Mustard ½ tsp
- Cumin seeds ¼ tsp
- Curry leaves few
For Omelette
- Eggs 3
- Onion 1
- Green chilli 2
- Salt as required
- Coriander leaves 1 tbsp finely chopped
Instructions
- Crack three eggs in a bowl
- Add finely chopped onions, green chillies, coriander leaves and salt.
- Mix it nicely with whisk.
- Heat dosa pan and make omelette using above egg mixture.
- Cut them as pieces and keep it ready.
- Heat oil and temper with mustard, cumin seeds and curry leaves.
- Then add finely chopped onions, ginger garlic paste and green chillies and saute nicely.
- Then add tomatoes and saute till mushy.
- Next add salt, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, cumin powder and garam masala.
- Add little water and allow it to cook till raw smell goes.
- Then add the omelette pieces and mix.
- Finally garnish with coriander leaves.
- Omelette masala is ready.

How to make Omelette Masala with step by step pictures
