Eggless Choco Lava Cake | Molten Choco Lava Cake Recipe with step by step pictures and instructions. Learn how to make easy eggless molten choco lava cake using wheat flour. These cakes are delicious and simple. You can use any chocolate cake recipe for making this cake. It is wonderful dessert and kids will love them. Serve it with vanilla ice cream. My favourite combo is chocolate cake/Brownie with ice cream.

I had some chocolate ganache leftover in my fridge after making cake pops. So I decided to make choco lava cake using them. You can use normal dairy milk or any other chocolate for making these yummy cakes. Serve the cake hot. You can prepare earlier and microwave the cake for few seconds before serving.

    Cook Time 25 minutes minutes
    Total Time 35 minutes minutes

    Ingredients

    • Wheat flour 1 cup
    • Cocoa powder ¼ cup
    • Baking soda ½ tsp
    • Sugar ½ cup
    • Vinegar 1 tsp
    • Milk ½ cup + 2 tbsp
    • Vanilla essence 1 tsp
    • Oil ¼ cup
    • Salt a pinch
    • Chocolate Ganache /Dark Chocolate compound/Dairy Milk as required

    Instructions

    • Sieve wheat flour, cocoa powder, baking soda and salt together for 5-6 times and keep it aside.
    • Take milk and add sugar to it. Mix it till sugar is dissolved completely.
    • Now add oil, vinegar and vanilla essence.
    • Mix till it is nicely combined and keep it aside for 5 minutes.
    • Add the dry ingredients to wet mixture in batches and combine without forming lumps.
    • I added two tbsp of milk extra since my batter was too thick.
    • Grease the ramekins with butter and fill little cake batter. Now place 3-4 dark chocolate pieces and then fill rest of the batter to cover it.
    • You can use cup cake moulds lined with liners and fill them too. I used for leftover chocolate ganache in cup cake liners. I used three ramekins and three cup cake liners.
    • Preheat the oven to 160°C for ten minutes.
    • Bake in the same temperature for 25-30 minutes.
    • Cool it for 2-3 minutes and remove the lava cake and enjoy hot.

    Notes

Always serve lava cake hot. You can microwave the cake for few secs before serving
Grease the ramekins nicely otherwise cake may not come out clean
Use dark chocolate to get nice dark colour. Milk chocolate will give light colour.

It's a very intresting recipe. My cake came out well. But the sweetness was less as I added powdered sugar in it. ( What kind of sugar I need to put. The powdered sugar or the normal sugar) In one section you said add 1/2 cup milk and in other section it's 3/4 cup . It's confusing.

thanks for trying and giving feedback. Milk is 1/2 cup + 2 tbsp. Corrected the typo in the recipe card. I used granulated sugar if you use powdered sugar you should increase. You can taste the batter and add sugar if required according to your taste

Baking powder is not always required. Baking soda with vinegar/lime juice works as well.
