Eggless Sugar Cookies Recipe | Easy Sugar Cookies | Christmas Cookies Recipe with step by step pictures and instructions. Sugar cookies are made with flour, sugar and butter. They have melt in mouth texture and usually they add eggs for sugar cookies. I tried eggless cookies and added corn flour to make it light. Decorate it with simple glaze icing for christmas. I wanted to try these cookies for long time and finally made it. My kids wanted to eat them and I ended up making some simple design.
You can decorate them with different colors and patterns and gift it for christmas. It taste so good even without decorating. It made these cookies with my kids and they really enjoyed shaping them and mixing. How to make Sugar Cookies with step by step pictures
Sieve wheat flour, corn flour, salt and baking powder once and keep it ready
Take softened butter and sugar in a bowl.
Mix butter and sugar to form creamy texture and add vanilla essence to it.
Add flour mixture and mix it together to form a dough. Add milk if required to bring it together.
Cling wrap the dough and keep in fridge for 30 minutes.
Dust the surface with little flour and roll the dough.
Roll the dough in uniform thickness and cut with cookie cutters.
Place them in baking tray lined with parchment paper
Preheat the oven at 175°C and bake in the same temperature for 12-15 minutes till it is done.
I baked another batch of plain round cookies.
Serve the cookies with hot cup of Tea/Coffee or decorate them as required once it cools down.
Take powdered sugar and mix it with water to form thick paste.
Add coloring of your choice and with the help of piping bags or hands spread them on cookies and top it with sprinkles.
