Gahat ke Paranthe Recipe | Horse gram paratha | Kollu Paratha recipe with step by step pictures and instructions. Gahat ke Paranthe is healthy and nutritious paratha stuffed with horse gram. Horse gram is also callad as Gahat in hindi and kulith in Marathi. Horse gram has lot of health benefits and consists of good amount of fiber which helps with digestion and weight loss. It is one the best food which is considered to relieve from cough/Cold and helps to improve the immune system. Serve it with simple raita or Pickle. It is very filling option for breakfast or dinner.

Gahat Ka Paratha Recipe | Horse gram paratha | Kollu Paratha
Ingredients
- Wheat flour 2 cups
- Salt 1 tsp
- Oil 2 tbsp + extra for drizzling
- Water 1 cup or as required
Stuffing
- Horse gram ¾ cup
- Green chilli 2 finely chopped
- Onion 1 big finely chopped
- Red chilli powder ½ tsp
- Ginger garlic paste 1 tsp
- Salt as required
- Pepper powder ½ tsp
- Turmeric powder ¼ tsp
- Garam masala ½ tsp
- Amchur powder ½ tsp
Instructions
- Take wheat flour in bowl, add salt and 1 tbsp oil.
- Mix it nicely with hands
- Then add water little by little and knead to form dough.
- Add little oil now and knead for 7-10 minutes till dough is soft and smooth.
- Cover and keep it aside for 15 minutes
- Wash and soak horse gram for 3-4 hours
- Pressure cook it for 3-4 whistles.
- Drain the water and take it in mixer
- Grind to coarse or smooth paste and transfer to bowl.
- Add all the other ingredients under stuffing to horse gram.
- Mix everything till it is combined.
- Take one ball of dough and dust it with some flour.
- Roll them as small circle and place the stuffing in the centre
- Bring all the edges and seal them
- Now roll them like chapati sprinkling little flour.
- Heat kadai and place the rolled paratha. Drizzle oil on the top.
- Flip them and cook on both sides till golden.
- Repeat the same for rest of the dough..
- Serve them hot with raita, curd, pickle or any gravy

How to make Horse Gram Paratha with step by step pictures
