Usually when kids have cold or cough I will make Kashayam from these herbs but kids refuse to drink them. So started making rasam and they really enjoy it with hot rice. It is very good for winter season and soothing for sore throat, cold or cough. You can enjoy this as soup. This can be given for babies above 10 months.

Notes

You can use other herbs like thuduvalai, mint leaves etc

Adjust the consistency of the rasam according to your preference.

You can use dal water while making rasam.

I have used only tomatoes. you can reduce tomatoes and add some tamarind for the rasam too.

Tempering in ghee gives nice taste to the rasam. You can use oil if you don't prefer ghee.
