You can use butterscotch sauce to drizzle over ice creams, cakes, or any desserts.

I thought of making butterscotch sauce when making Butterscotch ice cream itself. Finally made it to drizzle over my butterscotch cake. It tasted so yummy. Butterscotch sauce keeps well in fridge up-to one month. I adapted the recipe from BiggerBloderBaking website. I usually like their DIY recipes. It will be so easy with simple ingredients. This is my first entry to Blogging Marathon themed under 3 ingredient recipes for this week.

Ingredients

  • Butter 1/4 cup or 55 grams
  • Sugar 1/2 cup
  • Cream 1/2 cup
  • Salt a pinch

Instructions

  1. Take butter and sugar in saucepan
  2. Cool in medium heat till sugar and butter is dissolved
  3. Add cream to it and mix it nicely for 3-4 minutes till it reaches creamy consistency
  4. Switch off the flame and cool down.
  5. Store in airtight container and use it for any desserts.

Notes

Sauce will become thick after cooling down.

You can reduce the cream and add some milk for thin consistency.

Store the remaining sauce in fridge.

Switch off the flame and cool down.

Drizzled over the butterscotch sauce in the cake

Store in airtight container and use it for any desserts.
