    Mango Rasayana Recipe | Mavina Hannina Rasayana recipe with step by step pictures and instructions. Mango Rasayana is popular dessert from Mangalore/Udupi region. It is usually served with neer dosa. It is so delicious as such and can be enjoyed as a dessert. Also called as Mavina Hannina Rasayana in Kannada. It is quick and simple dessert which can be prepared in 20 minutes. 

    After trying Banana Rasayana, I wanted to try Mango Rasayana during mangoes season. It requires only three main ingredients Mango, coconut and powdered jaggery/sugar. When you have the coconut milk ready it can be put together in less than 10 minutes. Let's check out how to make this quick and no cook dessert. This is part of sweets and desserts series for Anniversary celebrations.

    Mango Rasayana Recipe | Mavina Hannina Rasayana

    Mango Rasayana is popular dessert from Mangalore/Udupi region.

    Total Time 15 minutes minutes

    Ingredients

    • Mango 1 cup crushed
    • Mango slices ½ cup
    • Cardamom powder ½ tsp
    • Powdered jaggery 2-3 tbsp
    • Coconut 1 cup grated
    • Water 1 cup

    Instructions

    • Take grated coconut in a mixer.
    • Grind it adding little water and extract the coconut milk. I used total of 1 cup water to extract the milk.
    • Take one mango, chop and crush it roughly with your hands.
    • Add mango puree to extracted coconut milk and then add powdered jaggery, cardamom powder to it.
    • Mix nicely till jaggery is completely melted.
    • Finally add some chopped mango slices.
    • Chill them and serve.
    • Mango Rasayana is ready.

    Notes

    Adjust the jaggery powder according to the sweetness of the mango
    Coconut milk must be thick so don't add too much water.
    I used half of the medium sized coconut.
    You can use sugar instead of jaggery.
    We like to refrigerate and have it chilled as dessert

    How to make Mango Rasayana with step by step pictures

    Take grated coconut in a mixer.
