Mushroom Pulao Recipe | Easy Mushroom Pulao recipe with step by step pictures. Mushroom pulao is easy and simple one pot recipe cooked with mushroom. Pulao is always mild and less spicy than biryani. It is easy to cook with few ingredients. I almost get mushroom every week as my daughter likes it. Most of the times I make Pulao or Biryani with mushrooms. You can use coconut milk for Pulao to give rich taste. I always like to use ghee to give nice flavor to pulao.

Mushroom Pulao Recipe | Easy Mushroom Pulao
Ingredients
- Basmati rice 1 cup
- Mushrooms 200 grams
- Onions 2 small finely chopped
- Green chillies 2 slit
- Garam masala 1/2 tsp
- Salt 1 tsp or as required
- Ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp
- Ghee 2 tsp
- Oil 1 tbsp
To Temper
- Cinnamon small stick
- Cloves 2
- Cardomom 2
- Star anise 1
- Bay leaf 1
Instructions
- Finely chop the onions and slit the green chillies. Wash and cut the mushrooms and keep it ready
- Wash and soak basmati rice for 30 minutes.
- Heat oil and ghee in cooker. Temper the spices given under temper
- Add onions, green chillies and saute for 1-2 mins.
- Add ginger garlic paste and saute nicely
- Then add the mushrooms and saute for 1 mins.
- Now add salt and garam masala and mix.
- Then add the soaked basmati rice and saute for few secs without breaking the rice.
- Now add 2 cups of water and check the seasoning and close the cooker
- Cook for one whistle and wait till the pressure releases
- Open and serve the Pulao hot
