Onion Tomato Masala | Onion Tomato Gravy
Ingredients
- Onions 3
- Tomato 1
- Red chilli powder 1 tsp
- salt ¾ tsp or as required
- Turmeric powder ½ tsp
- Garam masala ½ tsp
- Oil 4 tsp
- Mustard ½ tsp
- Urad dal ½ tsp
- Coriander leaves for garnish
Instructions
- Thinly slice the onions.
- Heat oil and add mustard and urad dal.
- Once it browns add onions.
- Saute nicely for 10 minutes till it is golden.
- Then add tomatoes.
- Saute nicely till tomatoes are mushy and nicely combined
- Now add salt, red chilli powder, turmeric powder and garam masala.
- Add little water and allow it to boil nicely for 10-15 minutes till raw smell goes and water is absorbed
- Garnish with coriander leaves and serve.

How to make Onion Tomato Masala with step by step pictures
Thinly slice the onions.
Heat oil and add mustard and urad dal.
Once it browns add onions.
Saute nicely for 10 minutes till it is golden.
Then add tomatoes.
Saute nicely till tomatoes are mushy and nicely combined. Now add salt, red chilli powder, turmeric powder and garam masala.
Add little water and allow it to boil nicely for 10-15 minutes till raw smell goes and water is absorbed
