Paal kova | Palgova | How to make palkova in home with step by step pictures and instructions. Learn how to make palkova in traditional method. It requires only two ingredients milk and sugar. Milk is simmered and reduced and sugar is added to make palkova. We can easily make palkova in ten minutes using microwave. But nothing can beat the taste of making it in traditional way.
Palkova is my favourite sweet. My brother loves sweets and I always like something spicy. My father used to get it for me as it is the only sweet I eat when I was kid. Nowadays I eat all sweets 😃. I love milk based sweets and always like to try them in home. Making palkova in traditional method is little time consuming. It is really worth for it. Don’t make it in huge quantity as it may take very long time and tedious. Make it in small quantity in batches. If you use 1 litre milk, it may take around 50-55 minutes. I used 1/2 litre milk and it took me around 35 minutes.

How to make Palkova in home with step by step pictures
Take milk in heavy bottomed pan or kadai. if you use non stick it may be easier without sticking too much.
Allow it to boil in medium flame.
Keep stirring continuously and allow it to reduce in volume.
Scrape the sides of pan regularly.
Once milk is almost thickened, add sugar and continue stirring.
Keep stirring till it comes together.
Switch off the flame. Once it cool down it will thicken more.
Palkova is ready to serve
