Samosa chana chaat is one of the most popular street food where samosas are mixed with chole masala and chutneys. This is my first post in new year. Time is running so fast and I am very busy in shopping and packing. Yes going back to India this weekend. I didn't find time at all to sit and write something. My husband likes this Channa chat a lot and I got this white peas long back to do this and didn't do at all. Now few weeks back when I was clearing some stocks in pantry, found the packet of white peas. Immediately made samosas and next day used the leftover samosa to make this yummy chat.
Preparation of any chaat items is breeze when you have the green and sweet chutney ready. Plan and prepare them one or two days ahead. You can use them and make many delicious chaats. Will be sharing few more chaat items which I tried to finish off my chutney. I used my leftover homemade samosas to make these but you can use store bought samosa. I used white peas as they use in streets. But you can use normal chana and make them too. Leftover chana masala can be used as side dish for chapati or roti.

Samosa Chana Chaat | Samosa Chaat
Ingredients
- Samosa 4
- Onions finely chopped to garnish
- Tomatoas finely chopped to garnish
- Green chutney 4 tbsp or as required
- Sweet chutney 4 tbsp or as required
- Salt as required
- Red chilli powder to sprinkle
- Cumin powder to sprinke
- Sev 1 cup optional
- Coriander leaves to garnish
Making Masala
- White peas 1 ½ cup
- Salt 1 tsp
- Oil 1 tbsp
- Onions 1
- Ginger garlic paste 1 tsp
- Tomatoes 1
- Red chilli powder 1 ½ tsp
- Coriander powder 1 tsp
- Turmeric powder ½ tsp
- Cumin powder ½ tsp
- Garam masala ½ tsp
- Coriander leaves to garnish optional
Instructions
Making Masala
- Take 1 ½ cup white peas or normal chana.
- Soak white peas in water for 5-6 hours or overnight.
- Pressure cook the peas adding water with salt for 2 whistles.
- Heat oil and add cumin seeds.
- Once it browns add the finely chopped onions and saute for one min.
- Then add ginger garlic paste and saute for few minutes
- Then add tomatoes and saute till mushy
- Now add spice powders and salt and saute nicely for 5 minutes
- Add the boiled peas along with water
- Mash them nicely.
- Allow it to boil till water is reduced
- Garnish with coriander leaves
Making Samosa Chaat
- Then add the channa masala to cover it completely.
- Top it with finely chopped onions
- Then add tomatoes
- Garnish with coriander leaves and serve.

Making Masala

Making Samosa Chaat
In a plate crumble samosas as pieces.
Then add the chana masala to cover it completely.
Add the Sweet chutney
Then add green chutney
Top it with finely chopped onions
Then add tomatoes
Sprinkle some salt, red chilli powder and cumin powder . You can use chaat masala too
Garnish with coriander leaves or sev and serve.
