Sesame Noodles Recipe | Vegetable Sesame Noodles recipe with step-by-step pictures and instructions. It is quick and easy noodles made with veggies, sesame paste, sauces and tossed with sesame oil. It is one of the popular dishes made during the Chinese New Year. Sesame seeds bring good luck and long strands of noodles bring longevity.
I browsed through many recipes and came up with my own version. Many recipes used peanut butter along with sesame paste. I skipped it and used only sesame paste and for spiciness used pepper powder and chili flakes. If you get Chinese five-spice powder or chili oil you can use them. I used carrots, capsicum, and cabbage. You can use any vegetable of your choice, eggs, meat or prawns too. Once you have all ingredients ready, sesame noodles get ready in 15 minutes.

Many southeast Asian countries like Singapore, Korea, Vietnam, etc celebrate it. It is celebrated on Feb 12th, 2021 this year. Preethi prepared mouthwatering Longevity noodles for the theme. My contribution to the theme is this vegetable sesame noodles.

Sesame Noodles Recipe | Vegetable Sesame Noodles
Ingredients
- Noodles 100 grams or 1 small packet
- Carrot ¼ cup
- Capsicum ¼ cup
- Cabbage ½ cup
- Garlic cloves 2
- Sesame oil 1 tbsp
- Sesame paste ½ tbsp
- Chili flakes/Chili oil 1 tbsp optional
- Pepper powder 1-2 tsp
- Soya sauce 1 tbsp
- Peanut butter 1 tbsp optional
- Vinegar 1 tsp
- Sugar ½ tsp
- Salt as required
Instructions
- Boil water in pan and cook noodles for 8-10 minutes according to the instructions in the packet. Add salt and 1 tsp of oil while cooking noodles.
- Drain the water completely and keep it aside.
- Heat oil in a pan and add finely chopped garlic.
- Then add the chopped veggies.
- Sauté nicely for few minutes till it is crunchy.
- Then add sesame paste, soya sauce, vinegar, salt, sugar, chili flakes and pepper powder.
- Give a quick stir and add the cooked noodles.
- Toss nicely till everything is combined
- Delicious sesame noodles is ready.

How to make Sesame Noodles with step by step pictures
