Sundal Masala Powder Recipe | Sundal Podi Recipe with step by step pictures and instructions. Sundal masala powder is essential condiment used for making sundals or any vegetable poriyal . It will be handy to make quick sundal varieties during the Navrathri time. It makes your dish more flavorful and stays good for 2-3 months.

Proportions of coriander seeds and chana dal can be varied according to our preference. Usually I use normal way of tempering like I did in my peanut sundal recipe. Wanted to try sundal podi and got the recipe from my friend Bhargavi. Any authentic brahmin recipes I always check with her only. You can add 2-3 tsp of sundal powder while making. I added extra and enjoyed them.

Its my contribution to bi monthly event in  Healthy Wealthy Cuisines facebook group where group of bloggers will be posting on particular theme. Current theme is #NavrathriFastingRecipes. Check out other navrathri recipes shared by my friends.

    Notes

You can increase or decrease the amount of red chilli according to the spiciness required.
If you like coriander flavor you can increase the coriander and use half of the chana dal.
I used byadgi chilli so spice level was less. If you are using normal chilli reduce the quantity.
