Suviyam Recipe | Suzhiyan Recipe | How to make Suzhiyam Recipe with step by step pictures and instructions. Suzhiyam is simple snack with crispy outer layer and sweet stuffing inside. Sweet pooranam with chana dal, jaggery and coconut which we use for puran poli or kozhukattai is used as stuffing for suzhiyan. Outer covering is usually maida and rice flour. Some use idli dosa batter for outer covering.
Sweet pooranam is one of my favorite and I always finish the leftover as such. So I sometimes only end up making suzhiyan. It is quick and easy to make when you have the stuffing ready. You can make these instantly for evening snacks. Plan ahead and prepare the stuffing before day or morning. This is one of the simple sweet recipe. Make it for Diwali or any special occasions.
