Ingredients
- Wheat flour 1 cup
- Milk 1/2 cup
- Sugar 1/4 cup + 1 tbsp
- Banana 2 small
- Butterscotch/vanilla essence 2 tsp
- Baking soda 1/2 tsp
- Baking powder 1/2 tsp
- Oil 1/4 cup
- Walnuts 1/4 cup
Instructions
- Sieve wheat flour, baking soda and baking powder for 4-5 times and keep it aside.
- Take 1/4 cup milk, sugar and banana in mixer.
- Add oil and vanilla essence to it and blend to smooth paste.
- Transfer to a bowl.
- Add flour to it and mix it without lumps.
- Add 1/4 cup milk and mix it to smooth batter.
- Then add half of chopped walnuts to it.
- Grease the baking tray and transfer the batter to the tray.
- Preheat the oven to 175°C for 10 mins and bake in the same temperature for 20-25 minutes till tooth pick inserted comes out clean.
- Cool them in wire rack.
- Slice and enjoy banana walnut cake
Notes
If you have sweet tooth increase the sugar to 1/2 cup.
Mixing the banana in mixer makes it smooth. you can mash them in hands and combine other ingredients too
Baking time will vary depending on the oven. So keep an eye after 20 minutes
You can gift the loaf to your friends.
Increase or decrease the amount of walnuts according to your preference.
You can also other dry fruits too
