Chocolate Cookies | Chocolate Chocochip cookies

Ingredients

  • Wheat flour 1 cup
  • Baking soda ½ tsp
  • Cocoa powder 2 tbsp
  • Butter ⅓ cup or 65 grams
  • Sugar ⅓ cup
  • Vanilla essence 2 tsp
  • Choco chips 2 tbsp
  • Milk 1 tsp or as required

Instructions

  • Sieve the dry ingredients wheat flour, cocoa powder, baking soda and keep it aside
  • Take sugar and butter in a bowl and mix nicely with whisk or spoon until it is smooth and creamy.
  • Now add the dry ingredients to butter sugar mixture.
  • Add the vanilla essence and mix
  • Add few drops of milk if required to form dough. I used 1 tsp of milk.
  • I added chocochips to half of the dough. You can add it to entire dough also.
  • Take small ball of dough and flatten them a little in your hands.
  • Line the baking tray with parchment paper and arrange the cookies.
  • Preheat the oven to 160°C for 10 minutes. Bake in the same temperature for 12-15 minutes.
  • Cool them in wire rack and serve.

Notes

I used normal granulated sugar. But I suggest using ½ cup powdered sugar so it is easy to mix it with butter.
Baking time may vary depending on thickness of cookies you roll. Always keep an eye after 10 minutes.
Cookies always looks soft while taking out and later becomes firm
If the mixture is dry, add few drops of milk to form a dough. If it is sticky you can 1 tbsp flour extra and form dough.
Instead of chocochips we can add any nuts of our choice too
I used wheat flour for this recipe. you can use maida or all purpose flour also.
