Fish Noodles Recipe | Street Style Fish Noodles

Fish noodles are delicious and spicy Indo-Chinese noodles made with fish, egg, vegetables and tossed with sauces

Ingredients

  • Noodles 200 grams
  • Eggs 2
  • Carrot 1 small
  • Cabbage ½ cup
  • Capsicums ¼ cup
  • Onion ¼ cup
  • Ginger garlic paste ¾ tsp
  • Red chili powder ¼ tsp
  • Pepper powder ½ tsp
  • Soya sauce 2 tsp
  • Oil 2 tbsp
  • Salt as required

Cooking Fish

  • Fish 6-7 pieces
  • Red chilli powder 1 tsp
  • Turmeric powder ¼ tsp
  • Salt as required.
  • Oil 1-2 tbsp

Cooking noodles

  • Water
  • Oil 1 tsp
  • Salt 1 tsp

Instructions

  • Marinate the fish with salt, turmeric powder and red chilli powder.
  • Heat oil and shallow fry the fish in the pan.
  • Roast them till golden.
  • Remove the bones and take only the flesh part. It comes with around 1.5 cups of boneless fish.
  • Boil water in the pan and cook noodles for 8-10 minutes according to the instructions in the packet. Add salt and 1 tsp of oil while cooking noodles.
  • Once it is cooked, drain the water and run through cold water and keep it aside.
  • Heat oil and add the finely chopped onions, cabbage, capsicum and carrot.
  • Saute in high flame for 2-3 minutes and then add the eggs to it.
  • Scramble the eggs and add salt, ginger garlic paste, red chilli powder, pepper powder and soya sauce.
  • Saute in high flame for 3-4 minutes and add fried fish.
  • Then add the cooked noodles.
  • Toss in high flame till everything is coated evenly.
  • Delicious fish noodles is ready.

Notes

I always use wheat based or millet noodles. You can use any variety of noodles. Cooking time will vary depending on the type. Make sure it is just done otherwise it may become mushy.
Adjust the sauces and spices according to your taste.
You can use leftover fish fry to make this noodles.
Fish can be replaced with any meat
I always add capsicum and cabbage while making noodles. It does lends nice flavor to noodles.
Tossing in high flame is key in making street style noodles.
