Fruit custard Recipe | Fruit salad with Custard | How to make Fruit custard

Fruit custard is a simple and delicious dessert made with mixed fruits in custard sauce.

Ingredients

  • Milk 2 cups 500 ml
  • Custard powder 2 tbsp
  • Sugar 5 tbsp
  • Fruits 1.5 cup or as required
  • Nuts cashews, badam, pista handful optional

Instructions

  • Take ΒΌ cup milk from the pan.
  • Add custard powder to it.
  • Mix without lumps and keep it ready.
  • Heat remaining milk in a pan.
  • Once the milk is hot, add the sugar.
  • Then slowly start adding custard powder.
  • Keep mixing continuously add custard powder.
  • Allow it to cook till the mixture is thick.
  • The mixture should coat the back of the spoon.
  • Allow it to cool down, wrap and keep in the fridge to chill.
  • Chop the fruits and chill in the fridge.
  • While serving place the fruits in a bowl.
  • Add custard to it.
  • Then add some chopped nuts on the top and serve.
  • Delicious fruit custard is ready.

Notes

You can switch off the flame when the mixture is semi-thick itself as the custard will be thicker as it cools down.
If the custard is too thick, you can add some cold milk to adjust the consistency.
You can adjust the consistency according to your preference. I don't prefer custard to be too thick.
Add any fruits or nuts of your choice to custard.
I used banana, apple, mango, and pomegranate.
Add fruits while serving as fruits will release water when mixed and kept in the fridge.
