Praline Recipe | How to make Praline in home

Praline is confectionery made with sugar, nuts and butter/cream.

Ingredients

  • Brown sugar ½ cup
  • Nuts ¼ cup
  • butter 1 tbsp

Instructions

  • Take ¼ cup nuts. I used pista and almonds.
  • Take them in mortar and crush them.
  • Crush them coarse. We can pulse them in mixer too.
  • Transfer to plate and keep it ready
  • Now take butter in pan and allow to melt
  • Once it melts add sugar to it.
  • Keep stirring in low flame as the sugar will start to melt.
  • Then it will change to dark color
  • Add the nuts at that time and switch off the flame
  • Mix the nuts with sugar mixture
  • Transfer the mixture to parchment and allow it to cool down and harden
  • Once it hardens, you can break the pieces.
  • Crush them in mortar or pulse in mixer.
  • Praline is ready
  • Use them in your favorite dessert.

Notes

You can use any nuts of your choice.
Keep the flame in low while cooking as if you leave it for longer, it will taste bitter.
I used mortar but you can use mixer and pulse them.
