Take Jaggery in a pan.
Add water to it and allow it to boil.
Boil till jaggery is melted. Allow it to cool down and filter to remove impurities and keep it aside.
Heat ghee in a pan and add the cashews and fry till golden.
Remove it in a plate and keep it aside.
In the same pan add the aval and saute in ghee.
Saute for 3-4 minutes in ghee.
Add milk and allow it to boil
Boil till aval is soft and cooked
Add the cooled jaggery mixture to it
Then add fried cashews and cardamom powder and mix
Delicious Aval Payasam is ready
Serve it warm or chilled
