Bread Masala | Crispy Bread Masala

Bread Masala is simple and easy bread recipe where bread is cooked in onion tomato mixture.

Ingredients

  • Bread 4 slices
  • Onion 1
  • Tomato 1
  • Green chillies 1
  • Ginger garlic paste 1 tsp
  • Red chilli powder ½ tsp
  • Coriander powder ½ tsp
  • Turmeric powder ¼ TSP
  • Garam masala ½ TSP
  • Cumin powder ⅛ tsp
  • Salt ½ tsp
  • Water as required
  • Coriander leaves to garnish

To Temper

  • Mustard ¼ tsp
  • Urad dal ¼ tsp
  • Curry leaves few
  • Oil 2 tsp

Instructions

  • Toast the bread and cut them into small slices. This step is optional. We can directly use the bread without toasting too.
  • Finely chop the onions, tomatoes and green chillies and keep it ready
  • Heat oil and temper with mustard, urad dal and curry leaves.
  • Then add the finely chopped onions and green chillies and saute for 1 minute
  • Now add the ginger garlic paste and saute.
  • Then add tomatoes and saute for few mins.
  • Then add all the spice powders, salt and mix
  • Add little water and allow it to boil till all the masalas are combined and raw smell goes.
  • Now add the roasted bread pieces and saute for 1-2 mins.
  • Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot.

Notes

Toasting of bread is optional.
You can add any vegetables of your choice too.
Adjust the spices as per your choice
