Cauliflower Capsicum Masala | Gobi Capsicum masala

Cauliflower capsicum masala is simple and delicious side dish made with the combination of gobi and capsicum

Ingredients

  • Cauliflower 2 cups
  • Capsicum 1
  • Onion 1 medium
  • Tomato 2
  • Ginger garlic paste 1 tsp
  • Salt as required
  • Red chilli powder 1.5 tsp
  • Coriander powder 1 tsp
  • Turmeric powder ¼ tsp
  • Garam masala ½ tsp
  • Jeera powder ¼ tsp
  • Milk ½ cup
  • Kasuri methi 1 tbsp
  • Coriander leaves 2 tbsp

To Temper

  • Oil 1-2 tsp
  • Fennel seeds ½ tsp
  • Shahjeera ¼ tsp

Instructions

  • Wash the cauliflower and boil for 3-4 minutes.
  • Heat oil and temper with fennel seeds and shahjeera.
  • Once it browns add the finely chopped onions and saute for a minute.
  • Then add ginger garlic paste and saute till raw smell goes.
  • Then add finely chopped tomatoes and saute till mushy
  • Now add the blanched cauliflower and chopped capsicum.
  • Then add salt, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, garam masala and mix.
  • Add little water, close the lid and allow it to cook.
  • Once it is cooked add the milk and boil for few minutes.
  • Finally garnish with kasuri methi, coriander leaves and switch off the flame.
  • Delicious cauliflower capsicum masala is ready.

Notes

You can add cashew plate and use cream for more creamy and restaurant style gravy.
Adjust the spices according to your preference
You can make it semi gravy, dry or gravy type. Adjust the water and milk accordingly.
