Chicken Kola Urundai Recipe | Chicken keema balls | How to make Chicken Kola Urundai

Chicken Kola Urundai is spicy deep fried balls made with minced chicken and spices.

Ingredients

  • Chicken boneless 250 grams
  • onion 1 small
  • Cumin 1 tsp
  • Fennel seeds 1 tsp
  • Pepper 1 tsp
  • Grated coconut 2 tbsp
  • Fried gram dal 1 tbsp
  • Salt as required
  • Red chilli powder ½ tsp
  • Garam Masala ½ tsp
  • Ginger garlic paste 1 tsp
  • Turmeric powder ¼ tsp
  • Coriander leaves 2 tbsp

Instructions

  • Wash and cut the chicken into pieces.
  • Take the chicken pieces in mixer.
  • Mince them and transfer to bowl.
  • Take onions, green chilli, grated coconut, fried gram dal, fennel, cumin, pepper in a mixer.
  • Grind them to smooth paste adding few drops of water.
  • Add the paste to minced chicken.
  • Then add ginger garlic paste, salt, red chilli powder, garam masala, turmeric powder and finely chopped coriander leaves
  • Mix everything together till evenly mixed.
  • Make some balls out of the mixture
  • Heat oil in a kadai and deep fry them till golden.
  • Drain in a kitchen tissue.
  • Chicken kola urundai is ready.

Notes

You can skip grinding the chicken if you use chicken keema
Add coriander leaves while grinding for kids so they don't pick them while eating.
Increase the green chilli and red chilli powder if you want it spicy. This is less spicy version for kids.
You can shallow fry in paniyaram pan for healthy version.
