Chilli Chapati Recipe | Leftover Chapathi recipe

Chilli chapati is a modified version of chilli parotta made with leftover chapati.

Ingredients

  • Chapati 2
  • Onion 1
  • Capsicum ½
  • Green chilli 2
  • Garlic 2 big
  • Tomato 1 small
  • Salt as required
  • Red chilli powder ¾ tsp
  • Soya sauce 1 tsp optional
  • Garam masala ¼ tsp optional
  • Coriander leaves to garnish
  • Oil 1 tbsp

Instructions

  • Shred the chapati into pieces and keep it ready
  • Heat oil and add finely chopped garlic and green chillies.
  • Once it browns add the cubed onions and saute in high flame for 1 minute.
  • Then add the chopped tomatoes and saute till mushy.
  • Now add chopped capsicum and saute.
  • Then add red chilli powder, salt, soya sauce and mix. Add little water and saute for 2-3 minutes
  • Finally, add the cut chapati pieces and saute in high flame till everything combined. Check out seasoning and add as required.
  • Garnish with coriander leaves and switch off the flame.
  • Chilli chapati is ready. Serve it with raita or tomato sauce.

Notes

Can replace tomato with ½-1 tbsp tomato sauce.
You can fry the chapati pieces in oil and use too.
Adjust the sauces and spices according to your preference.
