- White Sesame seeds ½ cup
- Sesame oil 2-3 tbsp
- Salt a pinch
Dry roast sesame seeds in a pan.
Roast them till it turns slightly golden.
Remove to the plate and allow it to cool down.
Take the roasted sesame seeds in a mixer.
Pulse them 2-3 times and add a pinch of salt and oil to it.
Grind to smooth paste.
Chinese sesame paste is ready.
Traditionally they use unhulled sesame seeds. You can use any type of sesame seeds.
Add oil to adjust the consistency of the paste. I made it thick.
