Curry leaves Crackers | Healthy Curry leaves Crackers without oven

Curry leaves crackers is healthy variation of crackers with curry leaves powder.

Ingredients

  • Wheat flour ¾ cup
  • curry leaves powder 1-2 tbsp
  • salt ¼ tsp
  • Red chilli powder ¼ tsp
  • Oil/butter 2 tbsp
  • Baking soda ⅛ tsp
  • Water 3-4 tbsp

Instructions

  • Take wheat flour, salt, curry leaves powder, baking soda and red chilli powder in a bowl.
  • Mix nicely and add oil/butter
  • Mix it together so it resembles bread crumbs
  • Then add water little by little and form dough.
  • Just bring it together and don't need to knead much. Refrigerate in fridge for 15 minutes.
  • Place them in parchment paper and roll them.
  • Prick it with skewers and cut them in desired shapes
  • Take pan or pressure cooker and place plate with holes in the bottom. Close the lid and preheat for 7-10 minutes in medium flame
  • Then place the pan and bake for 15-20 minutes in low flame till it is done.
  • Curry leaves crackers is ready.

Notes

You can preheat the oven to 160°C for 10 minutes and bake in the same temperature for 10-12 minutes.
Time taken for baking depends on the size of the crackers. So always keep an eye after 10 minutes.
Wash, dry the curry leaves and prepare the curry leaves powder.
You can use pressure cooker instead of pan. Remove the gasket and whistle.
You can add little cheese to the dough too.
