Wash the toor dal.
Add water, turmeric powder and hing to it.
Pressure cook it for one whistle in medium and 5 minutes in low flame.
Once pressure releases, mash the dal and keep it ready.
Heat oil and temper with cumin seeds, mustard and red chilli.
Then add slit green chilli to it.
Next, add finely chopped onions and sauté till slightly golden.
Then add ginger garlic paste and sauté till the raw smell goes.
Then add tomatoes and sauté till mushy
Next, add salt, red chilli powder and garam masala to it.
Add little water and boil for 2-3 minutes.
Then add cooked dal to it.
Allow it to boil nicely and finally add kasuri methi.
Squeeze half the lemon juice.
Finally, add finely chopped coriander leaves and switch off the flame.
Delicious dal fry is ready
