Dal Paratha Recipe | Leftover Dal Paratha

Dal paratha is quick and simple paratha made with wheat flour and leftover dal.

Ingredients

  • Wheat flour 2 cups
  • Salt as required
  • Leftover dal ¾ cup
  • Red chilli powder 1 tsp
  • Turmeric powder ½ tsp
  • Kasuri methi 2 tsp
  • Oil 1 tbsp
  • Water as required

Instructions

  • Take wheat flour and salt in a bowl.
  • Add dal, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, Kasuri methi to it.
  • Mix it nicely and sprinkle little water.
  • Knead to form a dough and add oil
  • Knead again for 5-7 minutes till the dough is soft.
  • Make small round balls from the dough.
  • Dust it with little flour and roll.
  • Roll them into medium-sized roti
  • Heat Kadai and place the rolled paratha. Drizzle oil on the top.
  • Flip them and cook on both sides till golden.
  • Repeat the same for the rest of the dough.
  • Serve them hot with raita, curd, pickle, or any gravy

Notes

Adjust the spices according to the spices in your dal.
You can use any leftover dal or sambar.
