Digestive Biscuits Recipe | Healthy Whole Wheat Oats Digestive Biscuits in Air Fryer

Digestive biscuits are healthy and nutritious biscuits made with whole wheat and oats flour

Ingredients

  • Whole wheat flour 1.5 cups or 185 grams
  • Oats flour ½ cup
  • Powdered brown sugar ⅔ cup or 85 grams
  • Baking powder ½ tsp
  • Unsalted butter ½ cup or 110 grams
  • Water or milk 3-4 tbsp

Instructions

  • Take wheat flour, oats flour, baking powder in the bowl and mix.
  • Add butter to it.
  • Rub the butter into the flour mixture so it looks like crumbs.
  • Add powdered sugar to it and mix.
  • Slowly add milk/water to the dough.
  • Bring together to form a stiff dough.
  • Cling wrap and refrigerate the dough for 30 minutes in the fridge.
  • Roll the dough between parchment paper, cut into a circle using any lid, and then prick holes with a toothpick.
  • Preheat the air fryer at 160°C for three minutes
  • Place the biscuits in the air fryer basket and bake at the same temperature for 10-12 minutes till it is done.
  • Allow it to cool down and store in air tight container.
  • Enjoy digestive biscuits with hot Tea/Coffee

Notes

Baking time depends on the size and thickness of the cookies.
Always keep an eye after 10 minutes.
You can bake at 180°C in the oven for 10-12 minutes.
It stays good for 1-2 weeks. Store in airtight container.
