Double Beans Masala Recipe | Double beans curry

Double beans masala is a delicious and healthy dry curry made with double beans and spices.

Ingredients

  • Fresh double beans 1 cup
  • Onion 1 big
  • Tomato 1 medium
  • Ginger garlic paste 1 tsp
  • Tumeric powder ¼ tsp
  • Red chilli powder 1 tsp
  • Coriander powder ½ tsp
  • Salt as required
  • oil 2 tsp
  • Mustard ½ tsp
  • Urad dal ½ tsp
  • Curry leaves few
  • Coriander leaves 2 tbsp finely chopped

Instructions

  • Clean fresh double beans.
  • Take the double beans to the cooker along with salt and water.
  • Pressure cook it for 2 whistles in medium flame.
  • Heat oil and temper with mustard, urad dal, and curry leaves.
  • Add finely chopped onions and saute for a min.
  • Next, add ginger garlic paste and saute till the raw smell goes.
  • Then add tomatoes and saute till mushy.
  • Add salt, turmeric powder, red chilli powder.
  • Sprinkle little water and cook till the raw smell of masala goes.
  • Add the cooked double beans to it and mix till everything is combined.
  • Garnish with coriander leaves and switch off the flame.
  • Double beans masala is ready.

Notes

You can use dried ones instead of fresh ones.
Dried beans need to be soaked for 6-8 hours or overnight and pressure cook for 3-4 whistles
Adjust spices according to your preference
You can combine with other vegetables too
