Dry Fruit Burfi Recipe | Dates Burfi | Sugar Free burfi

Dry fruit Burfi is healthy and guilt free snack made with dates and different dry fruits.
Servings 15 -18 big burfi

Ingredients

  • Dates 3 cups
  • Cashews ½ cup
  • Badam ½ cup
  • Walnuts ½ cup
  • Pista ¼ cup
  • Cardamom powder 1 tsp
  • Poppy seeds 1.5 tbsp
  • Ghee 1 tbsp

Instructions

  • Finely chop the dates and take them in mixer.
  • Pulse them few times and grind to coarse paste
  • Take all nuts in mixer and pulse them few times. You can finely chop them too.
  • Dry roast poppy seeds in kadai and keep it aside.
  • Heat ghee and add the chopped nuts to it.
  • Roast them for 4-5 minutes till crunchy.
  • Add the dates mixture to it.
  • Then add cardamom powder to it.
  • Mix everything till combined and switch off the flame.
  • Allow it to cool down and shape as cylindrical log greasing your hands.
  • Then roll them in poppy seeds.
  • Wrap them in parchment paper or foil and keep in fridge for 1-2 hours.
  • After 1-2 hours, you can take out from fridge and cut them.
  • Dry Fruits Burfi is ready.

Notes

You can use any dry fruits of your choice.
You can add ¾ cup of desiccated coconut for enriched taste. I skipped it since I didn't have them in stock.
You can roll them in powdered nuts or sesame instead of poppy seeds.
You can split the dough and make two logs for smaller pieces
It stays good for 2 weeks. Store in airtight container.
