Egg Omelette Thokku | Omelette Masala Recipe | Omelette Curry

Omelette Masala is simple and easy side dish where egg omelette is cooked in onion tomato masala.

Ingredients

For Masala

  • Onion 1
  • Tomato 1
  • Green chilli 2
  • Ginger garlic paste 1 tsp
  • Red chilli powder 1 tsp
  • Garam masala ½ tsp
  • Cumin powder ¼ tsp
  • Turmeric powder ¼ tsp
  • Coriander leaves 1 tbsp to garnish
  • Oil 2 tsp
  • Mustard ½ tsp
  • Cumin seeds ¼ tsp
  • Curry leaves few

For Omelette

  • Eggs 3
  • Onion 1
  • Green chilli 2
  • Salt as required
  • Coriander leaves 1 tbsp finely chopped

Instructions

  • Crack three eggs in a bowl
  • Add finely chopped onions, green chillies, coriander leaves and salt.
  • Mix it nicely with whisk.
  • Heat dosa pan and make omelette using above egg mixture.
  • Cut them as pieces and keep it ready.
  • Heat oil and temper with mustard, cumin seeds and curry leaves.
  • Then add finely chopped onions, ginger garlic paste and green chillies and saute nicely.
  • Then add tomatoes and saute till mushy.
  • Next add salt, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, cumin powder and garam masala.
  • Add little water and allow it to cook till raw smell goes.
  • Then add the omelette pieces and mix.
  • Finally garnish with coriander leaves.
  • Omelette masala is ready.

Notes

Adjust the consistency of the masala and spices as per your choice.
