Eggless Tutti frutti cookies | Whole wheat tutti frutti cookies | Karachi biscuits recipe

Learn how to make eggless tutti frutti cookies using wheat flour.

Ingredients

  • Wheat flour 1 ½ cup
  • Custard powder ½ cup
  • Brown sugar ¾ cup
  • Butter 150 grams
  • Pista essence 1 tsp
  • Salt ¼ tsp
  • Cardamom powder ½ tsp
  • Tutti frutti ½ cup
  • Cashews 2 tbsp
  • Milk 1-2 tbsp

Instructions

  • Mix wheat flour, custard powder, salt and cardamom powder in a bowl and keep it ready.
  • Add tutti frutti and nuts to flour and mix.
  • Take butter in a bowl
  • Add sugar to it and mix butter and sugar to form a creamy texture.
  • Add pista essence to it.
  • Then add the flour and nuts mix in batches
  • Mix everything together and it will looks like crumbs.
  • Add few drops of milk to form a dough.
  • Divide the dough into two parts.
  • Shape the dough as rectangular log.
  • Cling wrap them and keep in fridge for 1 hour.
  • After one hour, take the firm dough and cut them as slices.
  • Place the cookies in baking tray lined with parchment paper.
  • Preheat the oven at 180°C and bake in the same temperature for 20-22 minutes till it is done.
  • Serve the cookies with hot cup of Tea/Coffee

Notes

You can use any essence for flavoring.
You can include other nuts like almonds, pista, walnuts etc
You can use corn flour if you don't have custard powder.
Baking time will differ depending on oven as well as thickness of cookies. So always keep an eye after 15 minutes
Cookies always looks soft while taking out and later becomes firm
