Falafel is crispy and crunchy deep fried snack made using chickpeas and spices.

Ingredients
Chickpeas 1 cup
Onion 1 small
Garlic 3-4 cloves
Jeera 1 tsp
Red chilli powder 1 tsp
Coriander powder ½ tsp
Pepper powder ½ tsp
salt as required
Coriander leaves 2 tbsp
Oil for frying
Instructions
Soak chickpeas in water for 8 hours or overnight.
Drain the water and take them in mixer
Add onions, salt, chopped garlic, jeera, red chilli powder, coriander powder, pepper powder and coriander leaves to it.
Grind them to coarse paste.
Transfer them to the bowl and check the seasoning and add if required.
Make them as small bowls or shape them as you prefer.
Heat oil in a pan and deep fry them till golden.
Drain them in kitchen tissue.
Serve falafel hot with tahini sauce or hummus.
Notes
You can increase the spiciness according to your preference. I didn't add any extra flour. If the mixture is soggy you can add some maida or besan to bind them. You can bake them for 20-25 minutes till it is crisp. You can flatten them while baking.
