Gobi 65 | Cauliflower 65 | Gobi fry

Learn how to make crispy Gobi 65/ Gobi fry. Gobi 65 is cauliflower pieces marinated with masala and deep fried. Gobi 65 is most common vegetarian starter served in parties, marriages or in home.

Ingredients

  • Cauliflower 1 medium size
  • Ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp
  • Turmeric powder ½ tsp
  • Red chilli powder 1 tsp
  • Pepper powder ½ tsp
  • Salt as required
  • Besan flour ⅓ cup
  • Corn flour 2 tbsp
  • Water few drops to sprinkle

Instructions

  • Cut and wash the cauliflower
  • Add water, salt and turmeric powder to cauliflower and allow it to boil till it is half cooked.
  • Drain the water from cauliflower and allow it to cool. You can run through cold water.
  • Add salt, red chilli powder, pepper powder, ginger garlic paste, besan flour, corn flour to cauliflower.
  • Add few drops of water and mix till it is nicely combined.
  • Heat oil in kadai
  • Once it is hot drop the marinated cauliflower and cook till it is golden brown in colour.
  • Drain in kitchen tissue.
  • Serve hot gobi 65 with tomato sauce.

Notes

You can replace corn flour with rice flour.
I half cook the cauliflower while boiling so it will be fully cooked soon while frying
