Heat ½ tbsp oil in a pressure cooker and saute onions, tomato, cashews, ginger, and garlic
Saute them for 4-5 minutes and allow them to cool down and take in the mixer.
Grind to smooth paste.
In the same pressure cooker add remaining oil and temper with bay leaves, cinnamon, cloves and star anise.
Then add the grounded masala and saute for 3-4 minutes.
Then add salt, red chilli powder, coriander powder, garam masala, turmeric powder and cumin powder and give a quick mix.
Add required water to it.
Finally add the green peas and close the cooker.
Pressure cook for 2 whistles.
Once the pressure releases open the cooker.
Garnish with kasuri methi and finely chopped coriander leaves.
Creamy and delicious green peas masala is ready.
Serve it with roti, phulka, chapati or jeera rice.
