Take betal leaves, ajwain leaves, tulsi, curry leaves and coriander leaves in mixer.
Grind to coarse paste and add chopped tomatoes, cumin and pepper.
Grind to fine paste
Transfer the grounded mixture along with water to kadai and allow it to boil.
Add salt, turmeric powder and hing to it.
Allow it to boil nicely for 4-5 minutes.
Crush the garlic in mortar and pestle.
Heat ghee and temper with ingredients given under to temper.
Add crushed garlic to it.
Add this to boiling mixture and mix.
Switch off the flame and garnish with coriander leaves.
Healthy herbal rasam is ready. Enjoy it as soup or with hot rice.
