Instant Khoya Recipe | Mawa using Milk Powder

Learn quick and instant method to prepare khoya using milk powder.

Ingredients

  • Milk powder 1.5 cups
  • Ghee 2 tsp
  • Milk ¼ cup + 2 tbsp

Instructions

  • Heat ghee in a pan.
  • Add milk to it
  • Allow it to boil and switch off
  • Take milk powder in a bowl.
  • Add milk ghee mixture to it and immediately mix it with laddle.
  • Mix it continuously to avoid forming lumps and knead to form a ball. Mixture will be sticky while kneading.
  • Store the instant khoya in refrigerator and use it as required in your recipe. You can grate or crumble them.
  • Instant khoya is ready.

Notes

You can add more milk while kneading if required. I want it soft so I added two tbsp milk while kneading. Used ¼ cup milk while boiling.
You can use water instead of milk too.
Store in airtight container in fridge and it keeps well for 1 week. I usually prepare it and use it in couple of days.
Use good quality milk powder for best results
