Maida Bonda | Instant Bonda Recipe | Street food

Maida Bonda is simple tea time snack which can be prepared very quickly and easily.

Ingredients

  • Maida 1 cup
  • Rice flour ¼ cup
  • Curd ½ cup
  • Salt as required
  • Hing a pinch
  • Baking soda two pinch
  • Chilli powder 1 tsp
  • Onion 1 big
  • Green chillies 1
  • Curry leaves little
  • Coriander leaves finely chopped to garnish
  • Water as required

Instructions

  • Take maida, rice flour, red chilli powder, salt, baking soda and hing in a bowl
  • Mix everything so it is nicely combined
  • Add curd and mix the batter.
  • Add water and mix to form a thick batter
  • Allow it to rest aside for 15 minutes
  • Add finely chopped onions, green chillies, curry leaves and coriander leaves to batter.
  • Mix everything and batter is ready.
  • Heat oil in a kadai.
  • Use your hand or spoon and drop the batter in hot oil and fry them till crisp
  • Drain in kitchen tissue.
  • Serve the Hot Bonda with chutney and Tea/Coffee

Notes

You can use only curd to form the batter and skip water.
You can skip red chilli powder and use only green chillies
