Mayonnaise | Homemade Mayonnaise in 5 minutes

Ingredients

  • Egg 1
  • Mustard ½ tsp
  • Pepper powder ½ -1 tsp
  • Sugar ¾ tsp
  • Lemon juice 2 tsp
  • Oil ¾ - 1 cup
  • Salt as required

Instructions

  • Take egg, mustard, pepper powder, sugar, salt and lemon juice in a jug or bowl.
  • Beat it with hand blender.
  • Beat nicley till it is combined and frothy.
  • Now add the oil in batches.
  • Beat till it become creamy
  • Adjust the salt, sugar and pepper powder according to your taste
  • Yummy homemade mayonnaise is ready.

Notes

Original recipe used 1 cup of oil. I reduced it to ¾ cup. Add little by little and beat till creamy
You can powder the mustard and use them for smooth texture.
It keeps well for one week to ten days in fridge. I have not tried keeping more than that.
